Churchill Win Under 12 Division 3

Churchill u12 girls played away to Duagh last Monday evening in what was a lovely evening for football. A lot of parents stayed to watch this Game which made for a lovely atmosphere. Duagh started the best with some lovely direct football and within 5 minutes we’re 4 points in the lead. Churchill got to grips with midfield and got an early goal to settle the nerves. From this point on we saw some beautiful football with all skills on display. Duagh’s passing was lovely to watch and through quick passing produced some lovely scores. Both sides were doing well up front and at half time both sides were deadlocked. The 2nd half started with a very early goal for Churchill and they followed up with 2 points to put Duagh in the back foot. Duagh never gave up and quickly brought back the deficit to 1 point. Duagh had no substitutes and this was going to be the difference in the end. Churchill brought on 6 substitutes to refreshen up matters and were able to finish the stronger to just win this one. Both sides were very even and the display of football skills was a pleasure to watch. The referee commented on the skill level he saw at such a young age and the silent side line made the match a pleasure to referee. Congratulations to both sides and well done to Churchill for finishing off the North Kerry division 3 Legue as overall winners
