Listowel Emmett’s Under 12s Win Division 2 Shield-Final

Listowel Emmets and Na Gaeil contested the North Kerry League Div 2 Shield Final in Frank Sheehy Park on Tuesday 1st May. Played in difficult weather conditions both teams put in a great effort in the first half as Listowel led at half time . The Listowel defence were superb on the night not giving the Na Gaeil girls too many scoring opportunities. Listowel midfield pair of Kiara Keane and Kayleigh Sheehy dominated the midfield area which laid the foundation for a superb second half performance by the Listowel girls. Up front the Listowel forwards availed of all scoring opportunities that came their way . Listowel showed great teamwork throughout the game. Great credit to the Na Gaeil girls who battled to the very end but the Listowel girls just proved too strong for them on the night. Final score Listowel Emmets 03-09 Na Gaeil 00-02.
