Stacks prevail in Division One Under 12

A game that had everything, hailstones, sunshine, rain and high winds did not prevent a titanic struggle from two very good teams as Austin Stacks overcame Ballymac last night to take the Division One Under 12 North Kerry crown.

The wind did make it a game of two halves to some extent but both teams handled it well when it was in their favour, however when Ballymac went in at halftime with just a one point lead it did feel like it was not enough.  The girls in Blue and Gold fought like tigers to defend their precarious lead but Stacks in the end had the quality to take and hold onto a late lead.

Thanks to Tadgh Murphy for officiating a game where the girls left everything on the field with full commitment and I think these teams will seee each other agin this year in the County League such was the quality of play and the skill on show from both teams
