Under 12 Div 2 ; Corca Dhuibhne v Listowel Emmets

Listowel Emmets U12 Girls made the long trip to Gallarus on Sunday 18th March to play the home side Corca Dhuibhne in Round 1 of the North Kerry U12 Div 2 League.
The game was played in bitter cold conditions. Listowel Emmets who were short a few regulars played against a strong wind in the first half and went in at half time 4 points behind an excellent Corca Dhuibhne side. Half time score Corca Dhuibhne 05- 03 Listowel Emmets 04-02.
Playing with the win to their backs in the second half the Listowel girls put in a great second half display to draw level with the home side with only minutes remaining on the clock Listowel kicked an excellent point to go one point ahead and then up stepped Trina Kennedy who fired in two consecutive goals with only seconds left on the clock to record a seven point win for the Listowel Emmets girls. Final score Listowel Emmets 09-09 Corca Dhuibhne 08-05.Next up for Listowel is a home game against Kerins O Rahillys date TBC.
