District Competitions

The fixtures and structures for this new competition will be outlined on this page.  At the moment the proposal is for a District Under 14 and Under 16 competition to be run in the Autumn once the girls go back to school.  Clubs will be allotted by the fixtures committee into logical geographical groups and compete in a championship format with each district gauranteed at least two games.

Fixtures – Under 13

Preliminary Round – Tie One
Feale Gaels v West Kerry – Wednesday, September 4th
West Kerry v Feale Gaels –  Wednesday, September 11th
The aggregate score of both these fixtures will determine the winner of Tie One

Semi-Finals
Winner of Tie One v North West Kerry (Tie Two) – Wednesday, September 18th
Tralee v Castleisland District (Tie Three) – Wednesday, September 18th

Cup Final
Winner of Tie Two v Winner of Tie Three – Saturday, September 21st/28th

Shield Final
Loser of Tie Two v Loser of Tie Three – Saturday, September 21st/28th

Fixtures – Under 15

Preliminary Round – Tie One
Castleisland District v Tralee – Wednesday, October 2nd
Tralee v Castleisland District – Wednesday, October 9th
The aggregate score of both these fixtures will determine the winner of Tie One

Semi-Finals
Winner of Tie One v North East Kerry (Tie Two) – Wednesday, October 16th
North West Kerry v West Kerry (Tie Three) – Wednesday, October 16th

Cup Final
Winner of Tie Two v Winner of Tie Three – Sunday, October 20th

Shield Final
Loser of Tie Two v Loser of Tie Three – Sunday, October 20th

All of the above are preliminary and were put together for the purposes of outlining the competition proposal to the Club Delegate meeting on Tuesday July 31st.  There is a consultation process between the fixtures committee and the clubs that has been proposed but the details of this along with the finer details of the competition have to be finalized by Wednesday August 7th.
