Weekly News – Thursday, January 30th
Hi all welcome back to North Kerry Ladies football, I hope that the new year sees everyone hale and hearty and looking forward to the coming season.  I would firstly like to thank John Barry for his years of service to the board and wish him well for the future and take this opportunity to welcome our incoming chairperson Rory Kilgallon of John Mitchels.  Also welcome to our new vice chair Seamus Stack of Finuge/St Senans and the other new officers who have voluteered their time to come on board and lend their experience to the North Kerry Board.  Lots of changes are coming for Ladies Football in the County but we will endeavour to provide as many fair and honest competitions for all of our clubs.

Club Grading
Last Tuesday week we held our grading meeting and a lot of issues were resolved which was good, the Fixtures Committee are in the process of finalising the upcoming fixtures list and these will be with the clubs for the U12, U14 and U16 grades by the end of the week.  A request from Listowel Emmets to hold some Senior competitions was discussed and a compromise has been proposed, this will be sorted at the next Fixtures Committee meeting.

Confirming a Fixture
Last year we piloted a scheme in the Under 14 League wherby we appointed the referee for each fixture in an effort to be fair to every individual who had taken the time to complete the relevant courses and after discussion at the 2013 AGM it has been decided that this procedure will be extended to all competitions in 2014.  Click on Fixture Procedure for a detailed description of how to make a fixture for a North Kerry game in 2014.

Rule Changes
There were a couple of rule changes at the grading meeting on last Tuesday week, one regarding the pitch size in the Under 14 grade and the second addresses a concern expressed by several clubs to North Kerry Finals not being completed.  Make sure to have a good read of the official bye laws as written into the rule book on that date by clicking on Rule Changes

Club Committees
I know that many clubs are holding their AGMs in the near future and once your committees have been finalized please send the list including trainors to me on northkerryladiesfootball@gmail.com.  This is really important as we need to keep communication lines open and make sure that everything runs off as smoothly as possible.

Facebook
Our hard working PRO has sorted a Facebook presence for North Kerry Ladies Football, just search for North Kerry Ladies.  Also send any photos or notices of club events to Imelda on imelda.roche@gmail.com.
Imelda will be happy to advertise any club events or feature any photos taken at games and it will make the site so much more interesting when it is chockfull of content defined by the clubs rather than by us.
